What is a Hybrid Bike?	Hybrid bicycles blend characteristics from more specialized road bikes, touring bikes and mountain bikes. The resulting “hybrid” is a general-purpose bike that can tolerate a wide range of riding conditions and applications.
What is a Mountain Bike?	A mountain bike (MTB) or mountain bicycle is a bicycle designed for off-road cycling. Mountain bikes share some similarities with other bicycles but incorporate features designed to enhance durability and performance in rough terrain.
Does the bike hire includes a helmet?	Yes, a helmet, lock, pump and repair-kit.
What sizes of bikes do you have?	Our sizes are going from “Small” to “Extra Large” and we can generally facilitate all heights and ages from 10 years onwards depending on the height.
What size of helmets do you have?	2 different sizes and the time of pick up we make sure the helmet fits you.
Can I see somewhere which height I have to be for the size of bike I hire?	When you click here, you get to our online booking page and once you decided on your duration and the date you can choose the bikes. In the bikes box, you can then choose different sizes from Small to Extra Large. In the same line, you find the height these sizes are recommended for.
Why do you give out a repair kit?	The repair kit has small tools and a replacement tube just in case you get a flat tyre in a remote area. Our Rider`s Manual will explain in more detail how to change a tube. For trickier repairs, we recommend phoning our emergency phone number.

COVID-19

Do you have any rules inside hire shop?	Our wee shack at the harbour is only very small and mostly for storage. The bikes and handover will be outside in the fresh air, to keep the social distancing rules is very easy to maintain as well.
Are all Accessories COVID-19 safe?	Yes, all helmets, locks and repair kits get cleaned and disinfected after use ready for the next day.
Will the bikes be cleaned and COVID safe?	Each bike in use will be daily cleaned, maintained and disinfected for the next day.
Have you done a COVID-19 Risk-Assessment?	Yes, we have done a risk-assessment including for COVID-19 and appointed a COVID-19 Coordinator within the business.

Payment & Security Deposit

Is the full amount due at time of booking?	Yes, we take 100 % for all bookings. Except the security deposit is due at pick up and refunded after the return of the bike. From 3 days onwards we offer the option of only a 50 % deposit if needed. Please contact us via email to discuss this with us directly.
Is my payment refundable if I can`t travel because of COVID-19?	Yes, 100 % refundable if you can´t make it to Ullapool because of COVID restriction or we can`t hand over the bike to you. For more details please read our Terms and Agreement details.
What is your cancellation policy?	More than 24 hours before pick up: full refund Less than 24 hours before the pick up: 1st day of the rental will be charged.
Do you have family offers?	Yes, we have family offers, please have a look here.
Is the the Security deposit refundable?	Yes, the security deposit will be paid back to the payment card (unblocked) as soon as the bicycle is returned. In the event of damage to the bike and/or equipment (including missing equipment), the amount charged for the damage will be subtracted from the deposit.

What Routes do you offer?	We have an online page explaining routes within the area from green to black and for different kind of cycling styles. For more detailed information please read the British Cycling MTB Trail Grading System. On the day of pick up, we will give you some route options suitable for your experience and what you want to get out of the day. For each route, we have a leaflet for you to take with you on your adventure.

What is a Rider`s Manual?

Duration

What is a 4 h day and a 8 h day time wise?	4h (Half day) could be 9.30 am – 1.30 pm or 1.30 pm -5.30 pm. 8h (Full day) is a full day from 9.30 am – 5.30 pm.
What is if I want to do an overnight cycling adventure?	From two days onwards the bike hire is including overnight (24 h) until the day of return. The bike needs to be back latest 5.30 pm on the Return Date.
